Esther W. Couper

The Esther W. Couper Memorial Award, presented annually for outstanding service and dedication to the children and families of our community, was established by Family & Children’s Society in 2001 in honor of the agency’s founder. The award recognizes an individual, regardless of position or status, who exemplifies commitment and dedication to our community. Individuals who have positively impacted the lives of those in need through their work with any community organization or service are eligible.

Criteria for nomination:

• Demonstrated excellence in providing compassionate care to individuals and families
• Positively impacted the community either personally or professionally
• Continued to enhance their skills and demonstrated a willingness to take on new challenges

A selection committee reviews all nominations and recommends its choice to the Board of Directors. Nomination forms are available here along with a list of past award recipients. The 2017 recipient will be honored at a Recognition Breakfast in September; exact date and details will be announced in the summer.
