– Gifts donated by the NYSEG and Coughlin & Gerhart employees lined all four walls of our conference room before they were distributed to families in need.

We are most grateful to the employees of NYSEG, and Coughlin & Gerhart for helping make the holidays a little brighter for 100 families who receive services through Family & Children’s Society.

NYSEG employees help unload donated gifts.

As part of the Binghamton area’s Employees Booster Club, the wonderful employees of these two companies purchased and wrapped hundreds of gifts; including games, toys and winter clothing for children in need.  Family & Children’s staff teamed up with the companies to identify families in need. Their employees then selected the names of children along with their Christmas wish lists and purchased the items.

“This is absolutely amazing, especially for struggling families like mine. We appreciate all the help we can get. It’s a wonderful thing and my kids would not have any Christmas without NYSEG this year,” said Kelly, whose family benefited from the program.

NYSEG has participated in this toy drive for nearly 30 years! The local event was organized by NYSEG in partnership with its parent company, AVANGRID, Inc. and its majority shareowner, the Iberdrola Group.
