The Journey Project

Private, non-profit organization offering professional counseling and prevention services.

The Journey Project was developed to address the debilitating effects of sexual abuse on children and families. The Journey Project is a victim focused program with treatment ideally involving the entire family to address the family system, as well as the individual needs of the family members. The complex nature of sexual abuse requires specialized assessment and treatment to address the impact of trauma on victims and their families.

Our Team

Journey Project therapists are trained and certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Our team includes therapists who are trained and have met fidelity in the Oklahoma Model for Problematic Sexual Behavior – Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (PSB-CBT) for both children (ages 7-12) and adolescents (ages 13+). Therapists are members of the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers (ATSA).

  • Identify and correct the underlying dysfunction within a family that allowed and contributed to the occurrence of sexual abuse
